The Long Haul

A few years ago my husband and I embarked on a journey; a journey in adoption.  I wanted to share that journey with you.

Just about 3 months.  That is how long we have had placement of Lucy.  We have navigated through a few developmental and physical hurdles but she is now growing strong and beautiful.  We still deal with reflux but with medication it is under control.  She is a happy and healthy baby girl.  Smiling at pretty much anyone that looks at her.  Giggles at her daddy more than anyone else and just loves her big sister Nadia.  We love her and pray before too long she will be our forever daughter. 

However, the process is going to be a long haul.  In the last 3 months pretty much nothing has happened court wise.  We are told things will start moving soon but we know that means that they "hope" things will start happening soon.  Until then Lucy continues to grow and and we continue to fall further in love with her.
